As I read this article it occured to me that one of the things I do well is have optimism, each and every day, but am I leaning too much on this strength to the detriment of others?

I like to be enthusiastic, optimistic and energetic every day – that’s just who I am.

What do you think? Have you been too optimistic?

It’s the question you get asked when you meet a new person. How do you answer it with enough humility, grace and ego to make an impact? Or.. maybe you don’t answer it at all.. how do you change the conversation?

There has been a lot of talk about leaders ‘leveraging their strengths’ and whilst I agree with this approach, it does not mean that we don’t give constructive feedback when necessary, after all, if we manage or lead anyone, they expect this feedback and they deserve the respect of us to give it to them. But, let’s be balanced about it!
